KARL ZIMMERER: MANAGING DIRECTOR

Karl Zimmerer is the Managing Director and Shareholder of Glan Agua Ltd and has over 20 years of experience in the design, construction and operation and maintenance of water and wastewater infrastructure throughout Ireland, with over 15 years in a Senior Management position. Karl's professional qualifications include an Honours Degree in Structural Engineering and a Master Degree in Project Management. Karl is a founding member of Glan Agua Ltd and has successfully developed the business into one of the leading companies in the water services sector in Ireland providing a full range of services throughout the Industry.

Glan Agua - Luis Moreira Da Silva
 

LUIS MOREIRA DA SILVA: BOARD DIRECTOR

Luis Moreira da Silva is the Irish Branch Director of Parent’s Company Mota-Engil and Board Director of Glan Agua Ltd. He has over 15 years of experience as Project Manager for a number of international large projects in water and wastewater, civil, road and building construction. Luis's professional qualifications include a Degree in Civil Engineering and a Master Degree in International Management. During his career Luis’s developed good planning & organizational skills and acquired knowledge of a wide spectrum of management disciplines. Responsibilities include assisting in account development, developing targets for the Company, implementing long term plans and generating new business from customers.

TOM O'CONNOR: DIRECTOR

Tom O'Connor , has a first class honours degree in Civil Engineering and currently fulfils the role of Director and Shareholder of Glan Agua Ltd. Tom was a founding member of Glan Agua Ltd at their incorporation in 2008. He has over 20 years experience in Civil Engineering, while working in Ireland, the UK and Overseas, covering many disciplines such as the Design and Build of Water and Waste Water Projects, Road and Bridge projects, Marine Works and General Building. He has a strong focus on delivering a professional service to Glan Agua Ltd's various clients and fostering a spirit of cooperation with our partners in the industry.

Glan Agua - Gerry Fahy
 

GERRY FAHY: FINANCE DIRECTOR

Gerry Fahy is a founding member and Shareholder of Glan Agua Ltd and has undertaken the role of Financial Manager since its incorporation in 2008. Gerry has been involved in the industry since 1985 after graduating with a degree in Business Studies (Accounting), he has extensive experience in the financial administration and management of Construction companies both in Ireland and the UK. He is a key member of the Glan Agua team ensuring the company performs its financial operations with integrity and diligence, complying with the various legal & secretarial requirements. His goal is to see Glan Agua Ltd grow securely and safely, earning a good reputation with its clients, workforce and suppliers.

Glan Agua - Andrew Young
 

ANDREW YOUNG: MEICA CONTRACTS MANAGER

Andrew has over 6 years’ experience in commercial environmental engineering, and managerial work for water/wastewater infrastructures. Andrew has served as a Project Manager with Glan Agua Ltd. since 2009 and has acted as same on large scale projects such as Galway GWS DBO Bundle No. 2, Roscommon GWS DBO, Ballyconnell WSS, Knockataggart WTP upgrade, Four Rosommon RWSS and the Burncourt & Fethard WSS ensuring all projects were completed to a high standard, on time and within budget. Andrew has experience in all aspects of water and wastewater treatment including process design, M&E design, electrical, controls, automation and instrumentation and coordinates with civil design and construction engineers ensuring all aspects of the project progress as per programme.

Glan Agua - Noel Gibbons
 

NOEL GIBBONS: CONTRACTS MANAGER

Noel is a chartered engineer with over 10 years of experience in the design, construction, commissioning and operation of key water & wastewater infrastructure projects throughout Ireland. His experience includes project management, estimating, process & M&E design, procurement, site management, client liaison & commissioning. Noel is also experienced in co-ordinating with civil design & construction. Noels professional qualifications include an honours degree in civil engineering and he is currently undertaking a masters degree in project & programme management, due for completion in August 2016.

AINE HEALY: QUALITY, ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH & SAFETY MANAGER

Aine is the Quality Environmental, Health and Safety Manager with Glan Agua Ltd since 2010. Aine has over 11 years’ experience in QEHS on major civil, water and wastewater infrastructure projects ranging in value up to €92million. Her role also involves the overall maintenance of the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Integrated Management System and in 2013, Aine oversaw the successful recertification of the Management System.

ANDREW DRIVER: SENIOR CONTRACTS MANAGER

Andrew is a Civil Engineer and has over 14 years’ experience in construction and civil engineering projects. He is experienced in estimating, procurement and project management. Since joining Glan Agua in 2008, Andrew has worked as Project Manager & Senior Engineer on bridges, major structures, and large water infrastructure projects before progressing to Senior Contracts Manager. He is also an experienced Civil & Structural designer for water and wastewater service infrastructure.

DR. JOHN FOX: OPERATIONS CONTRACTS MANAGER & SLUDGE INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGER

John holds a PhD in Environmental Microbiology from NUI Galway. He has over 7 years of Environmental Engineering experience in a wide variety of areas including Wastewater Bioengineering, Water Treatment, Regulatory Compliance, Industrial Effluent, Project Management, Laboratory Analysis, Process Optimisation and Scientific Writing. He is currently managing 30 plants in Galway, Roscommon and Cavan. John also manages the Mobile Centrifuge Unit for Glan Agua Ltd.

JOHN MULCAHY: PROPOSALS MANAGER

John is an Engineer with over 6 years of professional experience in Water, Wastewater and Civil Engineering industry. He has developed an in-depth knowledge of the design, construction, commissioning and operation and maintenance of both water and wastewater treatment plants. Since joining the company in 2010, John is now managing the completion and submission of all tender and pre-qualification submissions for Glan Agua Ltd.

Glan Agua - Julian Drapiewski
 

JULIAN DRAPIEWSKI:TECHNICAL DIRECTOR WITH RESPONSIBILITY FOR PROCESS ENGINEERING

Julian is a Chartered Engineer with over 10 years of experience in commercial environmental engineering, specialising in water and wastewater engineering and management. Nine years of this have been spent in design and managerial work for water/wastewater infrastructures and sludge treatment facilities including conventional dewatering plants, wetlands and reed beds technologies. His experience includes process design, estimating, process commissioning, equipment selection and procurement and contract management for wastewater and potable water treatment plants, including wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations. He also has 5 years of experience as an Operation and Maintenance Manager of potable water facilities.

PATRICK RYLE: CONTRACTS DIRECTOR

Patrick is a Chartered Engineer, and has worked for Glan Agua and MEIC since its incorporation in 2008. Patrick has extensive experience of successfully delivering projects across the utilities sector, including water metering, network rehabilitation, water and wastewater treatment plants (municipal, pharmaceutical and industrial). Patrick has a natural commercial acumen and is skilled in estimating, procurement, contract management, design, and commercial and project management of large projects.

PAUL GARDNER: UK OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

Paul is a Chartered Engineer and MBA Graduate with over 7 years’ experience in the construction industry both in Ireland and internationally. Having worked as Project Engineer and Client Representative on a number of key infrastructure projects in the Water/Wastewater and Mining industries, he has gained strong experience in project delivery. Paul is focused on developing market opportunities and managing Glan Agua’s operations in the United Kingdom
