- Design and build of a pH correction system for final treated water to adjust pH from approximately 6.3 to 7.0 using hydrated lime.
- Removal of the existing lime dosing and make-up system and installation of a new 20 litre SS lime powder metering unit, 1,400 litre mixing tank, 0.92 kW peristaltic dosing pump and pH meter.
- Installation and programming of a PLC based IP55 control panel with dose pacing via a peristaltic dosing pump VSD linked to a 4 – 20 mA signal from the pH meter to achieve a constant pH of 7.0.
- Upgrade of existing lime silo including installation of new air receiving vessel, air dryer, replacement of air pads and two-way pressure relief valve on top of silo.
- Installation of ancillary works including handrailing and access ladder, eyewash station and infrared frost protection heating system complete with thermostat.
